These sketches were proposed by architects Zellnerplus. Among the retail areas proposed in the image below are
- a Korean Day Spa/Food Court
- Anchor Electronics Retailer and Boutiques
- Korean Supermarket and Boutiques

How will this structure add to the "character" of Little Tokyo?

looks kind of cool, but why all korean? isn't k town big enough?
This is a travesty. These people are squeezing the merchants out through highly unethical means.
Watch the Rafu Shimpo in the weeks to come. I wish there could be enough outrage to overcome the power of the rich, but it ain't likely.
Sci_Arc strikes!
Maybe a K-town outpost isn't such a bad thing - the mall will undoubtely end up being kind of like the KFC in Echo Park that twinned into a KFC/Taco Bell - no wait, scratch that - WAAAAH just bring back the bowling alley, and I'll be happy. C'mon! Shatto Lanes is all as hell popular!
what's up with all these buildings looking like they were part of TRON?
anonymous 1 ur rite. k-town is big enough for the korean's. this is just moronic for them to put something this big, thats korean in little tokyo. who run's this place n e ways? r they even japanese? like that saying goes- little tokyo is dead."
K Town is big enough and the vibe you get from Koreans are not the same as Japanese. I have nothing against Koreans but this is J Town NOT K Town. To the Japanese it's a big deal to everyone else it means very little. Are the signs going to be in Korean so only Koreans can read them? It's not going to smell like stale garlic BO is it?
Looks very interesting, did it ever get built?
Great-looking architecture of a Little Tokyo Shopping Center. I think it would add tremendously to the tourist attraction of Little Tokyo.
